It is a great pleasure and honor to represent the Neurocritical Care Society in this welcome to the 7th Regional Neurocritical Care Middle East and Africa Conference, joining all of the wonderful general critical care and multidisciplinary providers caring for patients with critical neurological illness! We realize that neurocritical care is practiced differently throughout the world, and thus a central mission and part of our strategic plan is to align internationally to enable providers, regardless of where they practice in the world, to provide expert and impactful neurocritical care to all patients, exemplified by our established and growing collaborative research and education. We have well established, highly successful endeavors in the region over recent years, including our Emergency Neurological Life Support (ENLS) courses and our hands-on Brain Death Determination courses, which have trained hundreds of providers in the region. We look forward to many more opportunities to collaborate, and greatly appreciate your partnership as we improve neurocritical care worldwide!
